All persons (‘the entrants’) entering the Mr Employ sign up Competition (‘the promotional competition’) agree that the competition rules as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on them.

  1. IMPORTANT NOTICE:
    1.1 These terms and conditions and competition rules contain certain terms and conditions which appear in similar text style to this clause and which:
    o may limit the risk or liability of the promoter or a third party; and/or
    o may create risk or liability for the entrant; and/or
    o may compel the entrant to indemnify the promoter or a third party; and/or
    o serves as an acknowledgement, by the entrant, of a fact.
    o the entrant cannot be a juristic entity and must be an individual.
    1.2 The entrant’s attention is drawn to these terms and conditions because they are important and should be carefully noted.
    1.3 Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the entrant or the promoter in terms of the South African Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“the CPA”).
    1.4 The entrant acknowledges that by submitting his/her entry to the competition he/she has been given an appropriate opportunity to first read these terms and conditions before entering and that he/she understands and agrees to the terms and conditions.
    1.5 All entrants to this promotional competition participate entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these terms and conditions, the entrant gives consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the promoters Mr Employ, their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the competition and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost, injuries and losses are sustained as a result of the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of any indemnified party.
  2. ‘The promotional competition’ is valid from 19 April 2022 – 1 July 2022. No late entries will be considered.
  3. The competition is open to all except the following:
    3.1 any director, member, partner, employee, or agent of, or consultant to Mr Employ who are the promoters of the competition.
    3.2 any suppliers, service providers, or contractors of Mr Employ, being a supplier of goods or services in connection to the competition.
    3.3 any spouse, partner, sibling, parent, or child of any of the above.
  4. To enter the competition, participants will be required to:
    4.1 Sign up and complete their profile on the Mr Employ app between 19 April 2022 and 1 July 2022.
  5. Prize:
    5.1 Qualifying entrants will win their share of R5 000 takealot vouchers (hereafter referred to as ‘the Prize’).
    5.2 The draws for the Prize will take place 3 July 2022, whereby the winners will be randomly selected and notified by 3 July 2022.
    5.3 To be eligible to win the Prize, entrants must be natural persons residing in South Africa, be in possession of a valid ID and be 18+ years of age.
    5.4 The winners will be notified by the email or telephone number used when registering on the Mr Employ App.
  6. General:
    6.1 The prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not transferable.
    6.2 The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional competition immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control. In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.
    6.3 Mr Employ’s decision is final, if any dispute arises regarding the competition, and no correspondence will be entered.
    6.4 By entering this competition, the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activities related to the competition as Mr Employ may reasonably require, provided that a winner may decline to do so.
    6.5 The competition is conducted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa and should any of the competition rules be deemed void or unenforceable, then that rule will be deemed to be deleted and the remaining rules will remain in force.
    6.6 Mr Employ reserve the right to amend the competition rules in their reasonable discretion should they consider this appropriate, before the competition closes and any such amendment(s) shall be posted here.
    6.7 By taking part in this competition, each entrant acknowledges his/her understanding of and agrees to comply with each of the competition rules set out above.
